George Kiai Njenga
George Njenga is graduating, today, with a Masters of Applied Arts Degree (Fashion & Communication Development) based on Talent, Life Achievement and Work Experience. George Kiai Njenga born in 1996 is a highly motivated and hardworking individual, creative and business minded with a with training and experience in Communication;
He is currently the Communication and Advocacy Expert: UNICEF seconded to African Union Commission, Department of Social Affairs, Social Welfare, drug control and vulnerable groups Division, Project entitled “AU Campaign to End Child Marriage”. Formerly he worked as an Intern with the African Union Commission, Department of Social Affairs, and Culture Division. Being a freelance Fashion, Communication and Graphic Designer, George Founded Elim Street Wear Limited where he is also the Executive Director. The organisation is engaged in Designing, producing, marketing and selling African Urban Street fashion.
Recruiting and supervising workers (tailors) during production of clothes. Managing logistics and coordination of scheduled events and exhibitions. Designing, formatting and updating of specific online content and website. Management (online newsletters) for a given target audience. Designing African Urban Street wear for performing African artists in Coke Studio season 4 – 5. Regular messaging and updating publicity information before, during and after campaigns/launches/promotions/events to targeted audiences and at various events.
